 Concerning the Holy Spirit
The Sinners Hospital believes in the deity, of God the Holy Spirit [John 4:24]. God the Holy Spirit has been in existence from the beginning [Genesis 1:2]. In times past, God's Holy Spirit inspired the authoring of all the Scriptures,[II Peter 1:20-21][II Timothy 3:16-17] and today, God's Holy Spirit is the only thing necessary to come to a complete and accurate understand of the Scriptures. [I John 2:27][I Corinthians 2:13]. During the Old Testament the Holy Spirit would come upon individuals for a time to accomplish God's will [Exodus 31:3][Ezekiel 11:24]. During the ministry of Jesus, the Holy Spirit empowered Jesus ministry [Matthew 3:16][Luke 4:18]. Today, the Holy Spirit is now sent by Jesus the Christ, from God the Father [John 15:26], to seal the believer unto the day of Salvation [I Corinthians 12:3][Ephesians 4:30][I John 4:2]. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of their sin to compel sinful people to Jesus [John 16:7-11]. The Holy Spirit teaches the truth [John 16:13], and empowers those who believe upon Jesus Christ [I Corinthians 12:4], for the unity and edification of the Christian brotherhood [I Corinthians 12:13], and the spread of the Gospel [Luke 4:18]. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities [Romans 8:26], and opens the the understanding of the believer to the Scriptures. [John 6:45]

John 4:24 [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Genesis 1:2 [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

II Peter 1:20-21 [20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. [21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

II Timothy 3:16-17 [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

I John 2:27 [27] But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

I Corinthians 2:13 [13]Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Exodus 31:3 [3] And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Ezekiel 11:24 [24] Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Matthew 3:16 [16] And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Luke 4:18 [18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

John 16:7-11 [7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [11] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 16:13 [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I Corinthians 12:4 [4] Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

I Corinthians 12:13 [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Romans 8:26 [26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

John 6:45 [45] It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
